Christmas time......

Like every year, our Christmas party was a lot of fun, a lot of food from around the world, a lot of laughters; presents were exchanged, as usual your beloved teacher has been spoiled (by the way, who took my bag of coal?)..

Like every year, I picked a name out of a cup and, this time, Steven Milburn won and was therefore to have his portrait done by Marcel. Needless to say, when it comes to this now traditional Christmas lottery, it is a well known fact that most of you would turn the studio into a slaughter house just to win the yearly prize!!!

Steven had a different reaction, to the surprise of all... He helped us remember what the Christmas Spirit was about: at the end of the party, after most of you had left, he told me his intention of giving his prize to Miriam, because he felt that she would really enjoy it. He knew she went through some hardship these past few years and wanted to give her something from his heart... he sure did! At first, I was speechless, as was Miriam when she heard of his generous intention. Later on, I felt compelled to let you know that this year, winning the prize was not the "big thing", but that Steven's spontaneous generosity was indeed the thing to remember for This Christmas 2007....
